In a small village in the Valsesia Alpine Valley, DUOPUU provided consultancy for the restoration of a traditional house made of stone and wood. The consultancy supports the client and designer in making responsible choices regarding the environmental sustainability of new materials and technological solutions. The main components of the restoration include solid Larch timber structures, wood-fiber insulating panels, and lime plaster. These elements aim to create a harmonious balance with the original materials and construction techniques. The result is a highly energy-efficient house, where traditional construction techniques are reinterpreted through contemporary technologies and passive design principles. / Client: private / Status: finished. *Mia is the name of one of the client’s daughters.
