DUOPUU is pleased to be engaged in teaching at the Master programme “Architecture of Wooden Buildings - First edition 2018-19” at the Politecnico di Torino, a programme designed with the aim of educating experts for the Italian rising timber construction sector and open to graduates in engineering and architecture. DUOPUU is holding the course “Structural uses of wood: innovation and sustainability” as well as the final class “Timber Building Construction Lab”. Person in charge and scientific coordinator Guido Callegari, professor of Building Technology at Architecture and Design Department - Politecnico di Torino.
DUOPUU is teaching in the Master Carpenter Course carried out by IFP “Pertini” - Trento Professional Training Institute with the support of the Autonomous Province of Trento. Carpenters are involved in the studying of the new construction methods based on wood and in the assemblage of a real scale model of a X-Lam (cross laminated timber) building. DUOPUU will push architects designers engineers and students into the fundamental basis of the modern architecture of wood at the first workshop by Opendot dedicated to the wood as a modern and technological construction material.
